Do you think it is appropriate to have sex while you have house guests?

I don't mean in front of them or including them, for the sickos, but regarding the inevitable noises and telltale squeaking of furniture etc. would it make you uncomfortable to hear it from your hosts? And I mean over about a week long stay (everybody has had to listen to flatmates banging the headboard a couple of times and I don't mean if the guests are just over for coffee!). Alternately, is it appropriate to have sex at somebody elses house when you are a short term visitor? Would you be insulted if you were the host?
