Why for some people sex is the only solution for marriage problems?

I can't understand why couples just can't talk about their problems? Why they(especially men) use sex as a tool to solve their disagreements? sex is more valuable than just being used as a tool,it may help to forget the problems you have in life,but it's all transient,why not try to solve things basically?and then have a better relation and even a better sex...

I think perhaps youve misunderstood what is meant here.

Sex is not the ONLY solution for marriage problems, however when sex goes wrong, the marriage will most almost certainley suffer as a result.

Sex is such an intimate part of any relationship, and if the physical intimacy breaks down, so will many other parts of the relationship. You will generally find that married couples who have been together for a significant amount of time and still have a healthy and mutually happy sexual relationship, are also very happy and comfortable with the rest of their lives together and with other people.
